Who Is Tab Trade - Launched March 2026, Here Is the Deal
Tab Trade - The Short Version
TabTrade opened in Q1 2026. CFD broker based in Saint Lucia, under the FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, an New Zealand-regulated broker.
The BlackBull connection tells you something. It means the founder has actually done this before. Does not guarantee anything. Still preferable to a founder with no industry background.
TabTrade came out of the gate with Equinix data centre access in London. Same infrastructure institutional desks use. The typical new launch focuses on ads and sign-up promos. These guys went the other way. Not the typical playbook.
Market coverage: FX, stock indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, stock CFDs, crypto, ETFs. 1,000+. For something this new, that range is broad.
Platforms
Available: MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and web trading. Both platforms from a single account. A lot of brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Access to both makes a difference. Use whichever you prefer.
MetaTrader 5 is the default. Full charting, Expert Advisors, massive community. If you have used MT4 or MT5 previously, it is familiar territory.
cTrader is the cleaner option. Cleaner order book. Faster charting. Built-in algo trading. Plenty of traders like it better than MT5 once they try it.
Direct FIX connectivity is offered for algo traders but is only on the VIP account ($25,000 deposit). TradingView is said to be in the works. That would make the platform set when it arrives.
Accounts and Pricing
Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Easy to track. $0 to start. Works for people who want simple pricing.
Edge. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 each way. Total cost: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On liquid pairs, the raw spread is frequently under 0.2 pips. So your all-in cost can sit below 0.5 pips. That is good for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most brokers that run raw pricing at this level require a minimum deposit. This broker does not.
VIP account. $25,000 deposit required. FIX API, faster fills, negotiated fees. Not something the average person. Skip it unless you trade institutionally.
Infrastructure
The speed is the thing this broker stands apart. Equinix LD4/LD5. Under 30ms on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. Those are proper execution targets. The average platform quote 100ms to 300ms.
Does it matter? For short-term trading, absolutely. The gap between fast execution and sluggish execution is catching the move or missing it. If you trade higher timeframes, you probably will not feel it. What matters is the infrastructure is there. That signals something about priorities.
Put together that infrastructure with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and what you get makes sense. Few brokers at this price point offer execution like this.
The FSRA Question
Now, the thing that requires honesty. TabTrade is under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No ASIC. No fund protection scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight makes you uncomfortable, stop reading. There are ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
But. Benjamin Boulter spent years at BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The execution setup is not cheap. Fly-by-night platforms do not invest in Equinix connectivity. That does not make it safe. It should be part of how you think about it.
The trade-off: you give up tier-1 protection. For that: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether this deal makes sense comes down to your priorities.
The Bonus
TabTrade has a welcome bonus of up to $2,000. Typical welcome offer. You put money in, TabTrade top up your balance. The normal fine print: turnover conditions before bonus funds can be taken out. Check the terms before you commit.
